Robotics Club
Join the Robotics Club to build skills in robotics and coding, while developing values for the 21st century.
Overview
The Robotics Club provides students with opportunities to explore the exciting world of robotics, coding and innovation through hands-on learning experiences. Through the design, construction and programming of robots, students develop computational thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity while working collaboratively with their peers.
At Palm View Primary School, we believe that robotics is more than just building machines. Through engaging projects and challenges, students learn to think critically, persevere in the face of difficulties and communicate their ideas effectively. They are encouraged to apply design thinking processes to identify problems, develop solutions and improve their creations through testing and refinement.
Students are exposed to a variety of robotics and coding platforms, enabling them to acquire foundational skills in programming, engineering design and digital technologies. Beyond weekly CCA sessions, members are also given opportunities in Primary 5 and 6 to participate in robotics competitions and school-based activities, where they can showcase their learning, collaborate with others and broaden their perspectives.
Through these enriching experiences, students develop the confidence, resilience and adaptability needed to thrive as future-ready learners and responsible digital citizens.
Learning Outcomes
Through the Robotics Club, students will:
Develop an understanding of robotics, coding and emerging technologies.
Apply computational thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges.
Design, build and programme robotic solutions through hands-on experiences.
Collaborate effectively with peers and communicate ideas confidently.
Demonstrate creativity, resilience and perseverance when overcoming challenges.
Appreciate the role of robotics and technology in improving everyday life.
Develop the values and dispositions of responsible, innovative and future-ready learners.
Our Robotics Club students actively take part in competitions to hone their coding and programming skills while developing teamwork and resilience
Our team earned 2nd Runner Up in the Mobile Robotics Category II in the 2025 Global Robotics Games.
